Woodlands Thanksgiving

We’re celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving up here in the mountains this year, so I wanted a table setting that reflected our natural surroundings. I had pinned this picture as inspiration over on Pinterest, but I knew that I wanted something a little more rustic. So off Missie and I went to look for a log…which took all of 5 minutes of trekking up the hill behind our house and voila…the perfect log was sitting just off to the side of the trail. Once we determined it was bug free, it was packed back down the hill. A little assistance from the Mr (who thinks I’m stark raving mad, by the way) in drilling holes for the tea lights and my piece d’resistance was complete! I’m in love with the end result and the finished product has redeemed me in the eyes of the fam as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my wonderful readers, friends, and family! I am so grateful for all of your support and loving comments over the past two years. I really could not have kept this going without you!!!

From my house and home to you and yours!

    • Thank you so much Nancy! My family and I are very fortunate to live in a place where we can collect so many beautiful and natural things right outside our doorstep. It always inspires me…well that and Pinterest of course ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • We sure did Shae. I was spoiled by my son delivering a 16 lb smoked turkey, complete with sausage-cornbread stuffing and gravy!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too!!!

I love hearing from Y'all! Leave your lovely comments here:
