Langstons’ Dingo Boot Giveaway Look of the Day-Keepin’ it Simple

Jeans (my closet, similar here); Belt (Ariat from Langstons); Boots (Dingo from Langstons); Jacket-Ralph Lauren Denim and Supply; Bag-TOTeM

What a whirlwind week it has been. We’ve been in London for 2 days, Edinburgh for 3, then 4 nights over on Loch Lomond that included day trips around the Cowal Peninsula to Tighnabruich, Dunoon, and Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. The weather has ranged from glorious hints of sun along with fresh snow at the top of Rest and Be Thankful pass (so named because in the 1880s passengers in 2nd and 3rd class had to get out of the coaches and push the 1st class passengers up the hill) to pouring rain and wind. Throughout it all, cold is the norm and bundling up is necessary.

So, with the challenging weather and landscape this outfit has been a variation of my mainstay look for this part of the country (which is thankfully very casual). And these sweet little Dingo boots have been a God send as I’m getting tired of tall boots with jeans on EVERY woman I see  (along with denim shorts and black tights with ballet flats…they are EVERYWHERE) which is always my cue to move on with any new purchases.

Now don’t get me wrong, I have tall boots with me too, but I prefer to wear them with a sweater dress and textured tights. So if you’re wanting to add new boots to your wardrobe, my money is on short boots this year (and an impromptu SuzieSurvey in London tells me THEY are the new direction for boots).

Remember, if you want to WIN A PAIR OF DINGO BOOTS FROM LANGSTONS.COM, scroll down to the previous post and enter using one of the multitude of ways! You still have two more days 🙂 and if you want 15% off your purchases at Langstons until the 21st use the code urbancountry !

I know, I should have gotten back into blogging about a week and a half ago. But coming off an intense few weeks of studying, my brain needed a creative break. That, and I had previously decided I wanted to make some serious changes around here and wasn’t quite sure how I was going to introduce y’all to a new and improved version of UrbanCountryStyle.

Sooooo while it appears I was falling down on this blogging job, I’ve actually been planning a BIG and brave Fall expansion of the site. We’re talking HUGE!

Here’s the PLAN: Starting in September, you’re going to begin to meet the UrbanCountryStyle family. The new campaign “We Are The Salmons”  will feature fashion, food, travel, all the same stuff but with a lot of new faces (women, men, and kids!)… and more interesting shoot locations!

First up will be my beautiful niece BRANDY ELIZABETH! I’m so excited about the changes and the creative options this allows UCS that I can’t wait to share…so subscribe to the blog up there in the right hand corner and you’ll be the first to know when we relaunch. And don’t worry, you’ll still see me on here, but I’m sure by now you’re as ready for a change as I am!

AND, if you want some behind the scenes sneak peeks at what we’re doing when we’re doing it just follow along on Facebook, Instagram (@urbancountrystyle) or Twitter @UrbanCntryStyle .

Oh, I almost forgot…the post pics are a big indication of where I’m personally headed for Fall. Burnt Orange…Boyfriends…heels…cashmere…color…softness…comfort…suziestyle!

That’s my life folks…constant motion so I hope y’all are ready for the ride!

Of course they are similar…Cowhide is the new black and caftans are where it’s at this summer! Plus, I needed something green in the decor shot 🙂 (And you DO realize that you just got two posts for the price of one…fashion and a sneak peek at the master bedroom makeover I’ve been working on).

Have a great day Y’all!

Denim Cubed

Denim Jacket-DEPT Miss Adventurous (old); Denim Pants-Gap 1969; Denim Shirt-Joe Fresh (thrifted); TShirt-Joe Fresh; Boots-Arnold Churgins (old); Purse-Zara (last season); Necklace-Designs by Shelagh-(I promise I’ll give you a better look at this necklace later…STUNNING); Mantra 7 Bracelet-Serendipity’s Backyard.

By the title, you might be able to tell I’m doing a LOT of Chemistry right now…which is basically math…which I dispise…but they say the first step to learning math is to incorporate it into your every day life. That way you give it meaning. Hence, I decided to try it out and triple up on the denim content in this post. Denim cubed! Fashion math…my way of making sense of numbers!

Now enough slacking for me…I have to figure out how many significant figures are in the total purchases I made on Etsy yesterday 😉

Love Y’all!

Suzie

P.S. Those are some SeriousSuzie Kick-Ass Boots…watch out MATH…I”m coming for you!
