Dog Days of Summer

Maxi Skirt-Winners; Denim Jacket-Thrifted; Tee-Gap; Belt-Thrifted; Purse-Michael Kors; Boots-Gucci

Here in BC, summer has decided to make a comeback for a while longer. And I mean full on summer heat with days between 25C-30C in the mountains for goodness sake! I’m coping with these dog days of summer by sneaking in a piece or two of my new fall purchases into my ensembles. And it looks like we have this weather for at least another week! By the end of it, I know I’m going to be the only fool wandering around in cashmere sweaters because I just can’t wait for the days to get cold enough to wear them. That’s me in a nutshell…impatient! I love fall…I want it to make a come back!

SuzieStyle Friday the 13th

I snapped this pic with my iPhone (so forgive the blurry parts) and posted it over on Instagram and  Facebook and everyone seemed to like it so I thought I’d pass it on for you non FBers or IGers (I know there are a few of you left in the world 😉 )

Destroyed Denim-Zara; Tee-Gap (old); Cami-White House Black Market; Kitten Heels-Calvin Klein (old); Turquoise and Silver Feather Necklace-Designs by Shelagh, Turquoise Cross-Mexico

Psssssttttt….I also thought I should mention that a little bird told me that Designs by Shelagh was accepted into the 100th Calgary Stampede Artists Showcase (no easy feat). But if you wanted to collect her pieces before I’m sure she wouldn’t mind! And no, I don’t get paid or free jewels to tell you that…I just think her talent is amazing and that she’s about to be uber-discovered so catch her now before she becomes so big and busy she won’t have time for all us little folk 🙂 .

Happy Friday Y’all!

Love,

Suzie

Denim Cubed

Denim Jacket-DEPT Miss Adventurous (old); Denim Pants-Gap 1969; Denim Shirt-Joe Fresh (thrifted); TShirt-Joe Fresh; Boots-Arnold Churgins (old); Purse-Zara (last season); Necklace-Designs by Shelagh-(I promise I’ll give you a better look at this necklace later…STUNNING); Mantra 7 Bracelet-Serendipity’s Backyard.

By the title, you might be able to tell I’m doing a LOT of Chemistry right now…which is basically math…which I dispise…but they say the first step to learning math is to incorporate it into your every day life. That way you give it meaning. Hence, I decided to try it out and triple up on the denim content in this post. Denim cubed! Fashion math…my way of making sense of numbers!

Now enough slacking for me…I have to figure out how many significant figures are in the total purchases I made on Etsy yesterday 😉

Love Y’all!

Suzie

P.S. Those are some SeriousSuzie Kick-Ass Boots…watch out MATH…I”m coming for you!

ThriftStoreThursday-Biker Meets Boyfriend

That title sounds a little ominous, doesn’t it? Dwell on that while I tell you about today’s challenge. This morning I asked myself (as I was doing my usual self-talk) to find 5 Thrift Store items to wear in this post; however, I only found 4. I will try to outdo myself on another day but today it was simply not going to happen. I had one of those days where I hated everything I was wearing. Yes, I get those too but sometimes you just have to power through it and get dressed anyways! (I should note that I did find one outfit that had 5 things and I’ll post it over on Facebook but I liked this better)

So what’s thrifted you ask? The blouse (Gap-$3), the jeans (Silver-$9), the purse (unknown-$5), and the string of gold chains necklace (unknown-$2). The jacket??? It’s from Suzy Shier (I like her name) and it was on sale for $29. Having spent so little on the entire outfit, I feel no shame in wearing it with the Louboutin’s 🙂

OK, tomorrow I’m thinking it should be Fashion Friday. I have no idea what to wear so I’m headed to clean out my closet…AGAIN! This fashion posting creates a heck of a mess in there!

But you’re all worth every second of the effort!!!

Love Ya,

Suzie
